Woodson Chorus plays an important role in our students’ lives! Music is extremely beneficial for academic and emotional growth, health and well-being. Participating in chorus connects students to each other and the community.
Your Contributions
Your donation supports a choral student's gift of song and helps build relationships that will last a lifetime. As you may know, the Woodson Choral Program is not fully funded by the Fairfax County Public School System.
Your contributions directly support:

Special instructional programs with professional guest clinicians;

Music purchases to expose students to a wide range of innovative musical choices;

Compensation for our accompanists, instrumentalists, sound/light designers

Assistance to students with financial need to purchase uniforms and other expenses;

Awards and scholarships for those chosen for honors choirs and pursuing future music education;

Travel expenses and reduced fees for special events and competitions

Funding Highlights
Commissioned Pyramid Song
In 2025, we supported the writing of a song to be sung at our Pyramid concerts to honor those lost.
Student Scholarships
We support students in need and those pursuing opportunities post graduation to extend their music education.
New Sound Equipment
We hope to develop more opportunities to continue to improve the sound quality in our auditorium.
Class Workshops
We are able to hire professional artists to help students learn beyond the traditional classroom and expand their musical understanding.
